Have a great sense of 감각, 센스가 있다

• He has a great sense of humor, and that's why I like about him. 그 사람 유머감각이 뛰어나. 그의 그런 점이 좋아
• A: I love the way he dresses. It's not too formal and not too casual. 난 그 사람 옷 입는 스타일이 좋아. 너무 형식적이지도 않고 너무 캐쥬얼하지도 않아
• B: I agree. He has a great sense of fashion. 나도 같은 생각이야. 그 사람 패션 감각이 뛰어나.

to begin with 애초에, 처음부터

• It wasn't my place to criticize her marrige life to begin with. 애초에 내가 그녀의 결혼생활에 대해 비판할 입장은 아니었어.
• A: I can't believe you slept through the movie 영화 보는 내내 잤다니 믿기지가 않는다.                             
• B: You knew I wasn't that big a fan of horror movies to begin with. 처음부터 내가 공포영화 

can / can't tell (보면, 내 판단으론) 알겠다, 모르겠다

• There is something different about you today, but I can't tell what it is 너 오늘 뭔가 달라보이는데 뭔진 모르겠어.
• A: I got this little stain at the back of my jeans, can you tell? 나 청바지 뒤쪽에 얼룩이 있는데, 보여?               
• B: Don't worry. It's so tiny. No one's gonna be able to tell. 걱정하지마. 너무 작아서 (얼룩인지) 아무도 모를거야.

have nothing to do with 전혀 상관없다, 관련없다.

• Don't give me that look. I had nothing to do with the decision. 그런 눈으로 날 보지마. 그 결정에 난 전혀 관련이 없어.
• A: I can't believe that you were talking behind my back. 내 뒷담화를 하고 있었다니 믿기지가 않는다.             
• B: Come on.. This is all a big misunderstanding. The conversation had nothing to do with you. 아.. 이거 ㅋ큰 오해야. 너와 아무 관련이 없는 대화였어.

have the guts to do something ~할 용기가 있다.

• He didn't have the guts to tell her the truth about his past. 그는 그녀에게 그의 과거에 대해 말할 용기가 없었어.
• A: Why haven't you quit your part time job? 왜 아직 알바 그만두지 않은거야?                                           
• B: Trust me, I WANT to quit, but I don't have the guts to do it. It pays the bills, you know.. 진심 .. 그만두고 싶은데 그럴 용기가 없어. 알바비가 생활비는 되니까...

make up somebody's mind 결심하다, 결정하다.

• I'm thinking about going to the pet fair this Sunday, but I still haven't made up my mind yet. 이번주 일요일에 펫페어 갈까 생각중인데 아직 결정을 못했어.
• A: I can't decide between light gray and space gray for my lap top. 노트북을 연회색으로 할 지, 진회색을 할 지 결정 못하겠어.                                                                                                                                 
• B: Jeez.. make up your mind already ! They are both gray, you know. 으휴.. 그냥 결정 해버려! 둘 다 회색이잖아.
